| *Sigh* What do I do? 1 | |
| Is something the matter, Shizuku? | |
| Well... There have been discussions in the theater club about putting on an original play, but I can't find anyone to write the script for it. 2 | |
| Isn't there anyone in the theater club who can do it? | |
| One of the older club members usually writes our scripts at times like this, but she's not well at the moment, so I can't ask her. 3 | |
| All of our other members say they can't write scripts, but I'm not that confident in my abilities either. 4 | |
| I see. You can't start rehearsing the play or preparing the costumes if you don't know what the play is about to begin with. | |
| That's right. That's why I need to quickly find someone to write the script. Do you happen to know anybody who might fit the bill? 5 | |
| Hmm, let me think. Somebody who can write a script... Someone who can write stories... | |
| Oh! I know! Hanamaru! | |
| Hanamaru? Are you referring to Hanamaru Kunikida of Aqours? Now that you mention it, she does write novels, doesn't she? 6 | |
| Yup! I'm sure Hanamaru would be able to write a script as well. | |
| I see! You're right, she would be the perfect... Oh wait, but we can't just go and decide things all on our own. We need to ask her first. 7 | |
| You're right. You know what? I'll call and ask her for you tonight. If she agrees, then we can go meet with her! | |
| Hello, zura! 11 | |
| Ah, hi, Hanamaru. Good evening. | |
| Evening! What's the matter? 12 | |
| Sorry for the sudden call, but there's something I'd like to ask you about. | |
| Shizuku's currently looking for someone to write a script for the theater club. I was wondering if you'd be able to do it. | |
| A s-script?! Me?! 13 | |
| Yup. I figure you'd be able to write one for sure. I mean, the story you submitted to the library anthology was really incredible! | |
| N-Novels and scripts are different mediums, zura. 14 | |
| They are? | |
| They're written differently. Unlike in novels, descriptions of scenes and the emotions of characters aren't written in as much detail in theater scripts, zura. 15 | |
| Um, for example... When describing a woman smiling with joy at home, you'd write something clean and concise like, "Scene: Home. Woman smiles with joy." 16 | |
| Oh, I see. I suppose you would write in more detail for novels, like about why she seems so happy. Maybe you'd even describe the look of her home. | |
| I've only ever written novels, and even then, I've only just started doing it recently... I don't think I'm the right person for this job. 17 | |
| I can't think of a better writer than you. | |
| I see. But, I'm sorry, I can't think of a better writer than you. I can put my full trust in your ability to come up with stories! | |
| Okay, zura. I mean, you called me because you believe in my abilities, after all. 18 | |
| You're the only person I can ask. | |
| I see. But you're the only person I can ask. We'll help you out as much as we can, so could you at least listen to our proposal? | |
| Okay. Shizuku is troubled too, after all. I don't know how much help I'll be, but I do want to find out more, zura. 19 | |
| Thank you so much, Hanamaru! | |
